Timber Sales:  Based on your objectives! 

I flag the boundaries of the sale area, send Certified letters to neighbors, mark and measure timber, send sale info. to timber buyers, show timber to buyers, take competitive sealed bids, and help with a timber sale contract.  You usually get paid before the logging begins.  As the logging progresses, I conduct inspections about once a week.  

Timber Appraisals:  Some people find it helpful to know the value of standing timber.  Whether you are buying or selling timberland, or looking at tax advantages with having a cost-basis determined, I can help with cruises and reports.  

Management Plans:  Having valuable resources has more potential to achieve your objectives if you have a plan!  I cruise the timber, determine "stands" which are areas with similar timber, make a map, and create a written plan.  Often, this helps with Certification and potentially higher prices when selling timber.  

Timber Trespass:  Sadly, this happens sometimes.  I can determine the value of lost timber, generate a report, and be available as an expert witness in legal proceedings.
